e.pngeverberation:
Using the size of my theatre which is 43x46 feet wide, and using heights of 20 feet for the walls with 40 percent occupation of 100 people we have a reverberation second of .31 this seems to be low compared to the average of 1-2 seconds, this may be increased by sizing down the theater or adding more acoustical value to the theater. The sabins or units of sound absorption in the room is found to be an average of 40 percent and the bass ratio to be 1.62. These values are important to calculate escpecially in places of theaters, concert halls or any place of acoustical value to make sure that the sound being heard is not an echo, thinking also about pink and white noise as a characteristic in acoustical value the sabins and acoustical absorption can play an important role in what noise is being projected to the audience. Overall this excel sheet can be very useful in architectural design when knowing what kind of requirements should be met for this situation.
